What is Premature Ejaculation?
Premature Ejaculation is a disorder wherein a male ejaculates semen too fast which is not enough for the sexual intercourse to be satisfactory. It is a condition that can be debilitating and frustrating to a man, as well as his partner.
Premature ejaculation (PE) is the most common male sexual disorder, estimated to affect up to 30% of men. The underlying cause of this condition is the rapid reuptake of serotonin, a monoamine neurotransmitter, in the brain.
Priligy and Treatment of Premature Ejaculation
PRILIGY's active compound, dapoxetine, being a potent inhibitor of the 5-HT reuptake transporter, normalizes neurotransmitters in the brain. With normalized brain chemistry, incidence of premature ejaculation decreases.
